Just like you and seasonings to your foods, you must add seasonings to your pans. Cast iron seasonings is easy to do. You simply need to take your pan, rub it with cooking oils, such as vegetable oils, and then heat it for twenty to thirty minutes. This helps do several things. First, the oil will help to create a non-stick surface for you to cook on. That is an added plus! Second, this method will also create a smoother surface as well. Lastly, by doing this, you will also help to add a little flavor to your pan and your food each time you use it. A lot of Mexican foods are cooked in cast iron.

Seasoning is the start to getting your cooking equipment to this level. Then, when you cook your flavorful dishes such as Mexican foods or Spanish foods, you will have the proper no stick formula as well as you will be helping to further season your pans! So start enjoying those Mexican dishes now.
