The Wide World Of Seasonings

When you walk into a grocery store, a good one, you will find that they may have an entire aisle dedicated to seasonings, for Cajun & Mexican dishes, some for sauces, some with the hottest peppers, the habanero. There are so many, in fact, that it can be confusing, frustrating, and intimidating for you to try new flavors out. You may find that one seasoning mix works well and then just stick to that. But, you shouldn’t feel afraid to try new flavors and new ideas. You may find that your favorite seasoning mix hasn't even hit your mouth yet.

Seasoning mixes are made from all sorts of items. Most are ground up versions of peppers, fruits and vegetables. The hottest peppers in the world can be ground up and sold in as a spice or part of a seasoning mix. Of course, not many of us could handle that level of intensity. Instead, though, you can try a multitude of other options including different meat seasoning, poultry seasoning, or even adding Chile powder to our diets. Try the Mexican heat with the Cajun flavor......WOW!

The next time you go to the grocery store (or why not look online anyway?), plan to spend a few minutes browsing the seasonings they offer. You will find specific seasoning mixes for Mexican foods, Spanish foods, and Cajun foods. You will find Italian spices and all sorts of American hot sauces to add to your sauces or wings. Try something new. Try something hot. Can you handle the hottest peppers? Try something exotic. Just try so that you can find new flavors that tempt your taste buds!
